Chateau Ausone Premier Grand Cru Classe A, Saint-Emilion Grand Cru 2000 6x75cl

Château Ausone 2000 Château Ausone 2000 is a truly special vintage from one of Saint-Émilion's most historic and revered estates. The 2000 vintage was exceptional across Bordeaux, and this is... everything you would hope for from Ausone: powerful and concentrated, yet beautifully balanced by the elegance, precision and finesse that make the estate so distinctive. With more than 25 years of bottle age, Château Ausone 2000 should now be showing beautifully, offering layers of ripe dark fruit, floral complexity and savoury depth, while retaining the structure and freshness to evolve for decades to come. A remarkable wine for collectors of mature Bordeaux and one of the great Right Bank wines of the vintage. Robert Parker of The Wine Advocate awarded Château Ausone 2000 100 points, describing it as “The greatest Ausone I have ever tasted... phenomenal presence... astonishing richness and purity... should prove to be legendary.” A legendary Saint-Émilion from an exceptional vintage, and a superb opportunity to experience Château Ausone at a remarkable stage of its evolution.

Chateau Lafite Rothschild Premier Cru Classe, Pauillac 2000 150cl

Château Lafite Rothschild 2000 has immense power and longevity, with some critics putting the end of its window in the late 2070's. It is very rare in magnum format and ages beautifully. "The nose... is fresh, bright, and dense. With aromas of violets, minerals, spices, cool stones, mint, dark fruits, and plum skins, this is beautiful… This is a wine for the next generation… truly a wine that makes you contemplate life. This is not about power, there is really nothing like it… Do not even think about touching this for another ten years". 100 points James Suckling, February 2011.

Chateau Margaux Premier Cru Classe, Margaux 1990 150cl

Margaux 1990 speaks for itself. Extremely rare in magnum format with three 100 point reviews from very well respected critics. “It offers an extraordinary aromatic display of spring flowers,... camphor, sweet red and black fruits, a hint of liquorice…Round and generous … fresh with laser-like precision, this stunning wine is just beginning to reach its plateau of full maturity, where it should remain for another three decades. A sensational effort, it is one of the legendary wines made at Chateau Margaux”. 100 points Robert Parker, Wine Advocate, June 2009 “The 1990 Château Margaux is really beginning to hit its stride at age 31, … Full-bodied, deep and multidimensional, it's seamless and complete, … This is an especially dramatic, fleshy rendition of Margaux, yet it remains impeccably balanced and has decades of longevity ahead of it”. 100 points William Kelley, Wine Advocate, February 2022 The 1990 Chateau Margaux has turned into a sensational wine that eclipses both the 1988 and 1989...and then some… it is the kind of nose in which you just immerse yourself… The palate is soft and sensual with incredible depth… I feel that this 1990 Château Margaux is at its peak ... Magnificent”. 100 points Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, October 2016

Dom Perignon, P2 Rose 1995

Dom Pérignon Rosé is already an exceptionally rare Champagne, and the P2 release takes it to another level entirely. Having been allowed to mature for more than 15 years in the cellars before... release, Dom Pérignon P2 Rosé 1995 has developed a depth and complexity that simply cannot be achieved through youth alone. This is Champagne that has moved beyond primary fruit, gaining layers of savoury complexity, spice and texture while retaining the energy and freshness that define a great vintage. The 1995 vintage is a particularly compelling expression of Dom Pérignon Rosé, combining the richness and concentration of the year with the refinement that comes from extended ageing. Expect bright red fruit, dried rose petals, spice and smoky mineral notes alongside a creamy texture and chalky precision. There is an almost Burgundian quality to its breadth and savoury complexity, yet it retains the energy, freshness and elegance that only great Champagne can provide. For collectors and Champagne enthusiasts, Dom Pérignon P2 Rosé 1995 offers a rare opportunity to experience one of the world's most prestigious Rosé Champagnes at a remarkable stage of its evolution a profound and complex expression of a great vintage.

Dom Perignon, P3 1990

Dom Pérignon P3 1990 When the ‘P’ in P3 stands for Plénitude, translating to ‘completeness’ or ‘abundance’, you can assume Dom Pérignon has left nothing on the table when creating its... ultimate expression. The 1990 has spent a minimum of 25 years ageing on its lees and was not released until 2019. With fewer than 20 P3 vintages ever created, and only in years when the Cellar Master believes the wine is capable of reaching this level of evolution, Dom Pérignon P3 1990 is an exceptionally rare Champagne. The 1990 vintage is particularly special, coming from one of Champagne's great years and now offering an extraordinary combination of maturity, concentration and freshness. Expect layers of ripe yellow fruit, dried white flowers, honeycomb and brioche, with extended lees ageing bringing incredible texture, depth and complexity. This is Champagne at its most profound: powerful without being heavy, complex without losing precision, and with a finish that seems to go on indefinitely. James Suckling awarded the standard Dom Pérignon 1990 99 points, so you might say the 100-point scale isn't even enough to do Dom Pérignon P3 1990 justice. For collectors, this is a rare opportunity to experience Dom Pérignon at the very furthest point of its evolution - a truly transcendent Champagne and the pinnacle of the house's craftsmanship.

Paul Jaboulet Aine, Crozes-Hermitage, Domaine de Thalabert 2023 6x75cl

One of the great bargains of the Northern Rhône at just £20 per bottle In Bond. It ages beautifully and offers a generous drinking window from 2026 through to at least 2036. "A textural, velvety... and seductive Syrah, exhibiting dark cherries and dried herbs with roasted meat and peppercorns. It's medium-bodied, subtle and precise, showing fine tannins and a succulent character. Refined, with a long, lively finish. 94 Points, James Suckling "Due to the hailstorm in July, there are only a couple hundred cases of the 2023 Crozes-Hermitage Thalabert. It's not as concentrated as the 2022, but it has a beautiful, medium-bodied style, classic black raspberry and darker berry fruits, some spice, pepper and floral nuances, nicely integrated oak and ripe tannins. I think it will easily be an outstanding wine. 92-94 Points, Jeb Dunnuck "A classic drinking-now, steak-frites-ready Crozes from this leading Northern Rhône house, this pure Syrah is a highly drinkable mix of sinewy-supple tannin, dark raspberry and blackberry fruit and black pepper-seasoned black olive savouriness." 91 Points, David Williams, Decanter Alongside it, the 2024 Mule Blanche Blanc , Crozes Hermitage is another superb release. Produced from 95% Marsanne and 5% Roussanne, it offers remarkable freshness, precision and texture, making it one of the standout white wines of the appellation.
