The Cave des Vignerons de Buxy Millebuis Montagny 2024 is a very well-made expression of Chardonnay from the Côte Chalonnaise, offering an excellent combination of freshness, texture and purity.... Sourced from hillside vineyards around Montagny-lès-Buxy, Buxy, Jully-lès-Buxy and Saint-Vallerin, the wine is grown on brown clay and limestone soils before being fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel and matured on its lees to build additional body and texture. Smooth and silky on the palate, the 2024 shows attractive flavours of white flowers, melon and lemon, with a lovely freshness running through the wine and a clean, persistent finish. A pure and expressive Burgundy Chardonnay that offers plenty of character for its price, this is a versatile white to enjoy alongside seafood, shellfish, poultry or simply on its own.
