They have made an excellent 2023 which we all loved when we tasted it in Bordeaux last month

Château Beaumont 2022 is a classic Cru Bourgeois from the Haut Médoc, produced from vineyards located between Margaux and Saint Julien on well drained gravel soils. The estate is known for its... consistency and traditional style, offering a reliable expression of Left Bank Bordeaux. The 2022 vintage is a warm and successful year, producing wines with ripe fruit and generous texture, while retaining balance. At Château Beaumont this results in a wine that combines richness with freshness, showing more depth and polish than in cooler vintages. Tasting notes Château Beaumont 2022 shows aromas of cassis, blackberry and plum, with notes of spice, cedar and a touch of cocoa. On the palate the wine is medium to full bodied, with ripe fruit and velvety tannins giving a smooth and rounded texture. There is good depth through the mid palate, balanced by freshness and a light spice on the finish. Critic scores 92 points, Jane Anson 90–92 points, Neal Martin, Vinous 90–91 points, James Suckling Large format In magnum, the wine will age more gradually, allowing the fruit and tannins to integrate while preserving the freshness of the vintage. Chateau Cissac 2023 is an beautifully made Cru Bourgeoise claret with commendable reviews from the critics and released at only £8.00 per bottle in bond. With a large and loyal following in the UK... it is a wine we should all be buying this year – it is one of the bargains of the vintage ‘good aromatic length, very appealing finish, a very elegant and classic Cissac style’ Markus Del Monego MW ‘A good vintage at this estate’ Jane Anson Intense purple colour with violet hue. Very elegant and expressive nose, very pure fruit, blackcurrants and blackberries, hints of raspberries in the background and discreet toasting. A whiff of vanilla and discreet floral hints in the background. On the palate well-structured with balanced tannins, good aromatic length, very appealing finish, a very elegant and classic Cissac style, however interpreted in a contemporary way. 92 Points Markus Del Monego MW A good vintage at this estate, with vibrant red cherry and damson fruit, a good dollop of black pepper spice and fresh floral aromatics. It's a little austere but it's juicy and has sinewy tannins that suggest ageing ability. A success, with personality and a pretty feel. Owner Marie Vialard. 91 Points Jane Anson With vines near the Gironde Estuary far north in the Médoc, a textbook example of success from cooler Left Bank terroir in this vintage, with bright and brambly cassis and plum, delivered in a straightforward fashion. I like the mid-palate concentration and depth, although the finish is marked by somewhat strict tannins. In this case, barrel ageing in 25% new oak should smoothe such edges. 91 Points Decanter

From the heart of the Haut-Médoc, Château Croix du Trale 2020 is a classic blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot, aged for 12 months in French oak. It’s medium-bodied, with ripe red and... black fruits, a touch of spice, and well-judged oak. There’s a bit of chocolate and smoke too, and a nice freshness to keep it all in balance. This is drinking well already and will hold nicely to 2033. The estate is a proper family affair, run by Stéphane and Sandra, along with their daughters Laurie and Chloé. They've been building the domaine together over the years and are part of the Cru Bourgeois group of independent growers in Bordeaux.
