Fresh, ripe and aromatic, this has lovely, red cherry fruit and carefully extracted tannins. Rich and harmonious with a persistent finish. Morey is by far the best value village in the Cote de Nuits.

Jean-Jacques Girard Bourgogne Rouge 2023 is an outstanding introduction to one of Savigny-lès-Beaune's longest established family domaines. The Girard family has been growing vines since 1529, with... the estate today producing wines from some of the finest terroirs across the Côte de Beaune, including Savigny-lès-Beaune, Pernand-Vergelesses, Beaune, Volnay and Pommard.
Although labelled simply as Bourgogne Rouge, the fruit is sourced principally from the domaine's vineyards around Savigny-lès-Beaune, giving the wine a level of quality and character rarely found at this level. The 2023 vintage offers generous fruit, freshness and excellent balance, making this a superb everyday red Burgundy from a highly respected grower.
