In our ongoing search for outstanding value Riesling from Austria, the 2023 vintage of Markus Huber’s Terrassen from the Traisental valley continues to impress. Traisental’s limestone-rich terraces, cooled by Alpine airs and nourished by mineral soils, provide an ideal site for producing dry Riesling with both precision and freshness.
The 2023 Terrassen carries the signature clarity and minerality we look for in Austrian Riesling, combining expressive fruit with a lively structure. It has earned 91 points from Falstaff in their 2024 tasting, underscoring its quality and drinkability in its youthful stage.

“Pale yellow-green with silver reflections; crisp vineyard freshness with a hint of lime and floral touches; nuances of white apple; slender, fresh stone fruit; subtle sweetness and lively structure with mineral tension throughout.” 91 Points Falstaff
