Unique in that it`s made like traditional red burgundy and aged in large oak founders for one year. It drinks like a top Beaujolais with aromas of red cherry, cranberry, blackberry, earth and mineral with a touch of baking spice. The palate is medium bodied and generous, with soft red fruit character, plum and liquorice notes. The tannins are supple and the oak well integrated, lovely long finish.

"Notes of dark berry and walnut here. It’s medium-bodied with a grainy texture and some good fruit at the end." 89-90 points, James Suckling
"Friendly and clean, the palate shows some high-toned tannin accentuated by the acidity of the vintage, but the overall sense comes across in a mid palate with friendly plum and brambly red fruit character. A solid Cru Bourgeois. Drink 2026 - 2036" 90 points, Panos Kakaviatos, Decanter

Chateau Grand Mayne Grand Cru Classe, Saint-Emilion Grand Cru 2020
Château Grand Mayne 2020 is a Grand Cru Classé estate in Saint Emilion, set on the limestone slopes and clay plateau to the north of the village. The vineyard is planted predominantly with Merlot... alongside Cabernet Franc, producing wines that combine richness with structure and aromatic lift.
The 2020 vintage is a strong Right Bank year, delivering wines with both concentration and balance. At Grand Mayne this results in a wine that shows depth and polish, with ripe fruit supported by freshness and well integrated oak.
Tasting notes
Château Grand Mayne 2020 shows aromas of black cherry, plum and blackberry, with notes of spice, cedar and a touch of cocoa.
On the palate the wine is full and rounded, with ripe dark fruit supported by fine tannins. There is a sense of both richness and control, leading to a long and refined finish with a subtle mineral edge.
