Despite the devastating floods that affected much of the region, the elevation of this site allowed the fruit to ripen fully, producing a wine of remarkable concentration and balance.
Made with the intention of ageing, Symphonie is matured for 18 months in 100% new oak. The result is a Pinot Noir of depth and structure, showing an intense palate of red and black fruit layered with herbal notes and complex spice. Powerful yet refined, it is a wine built to develop slowly in bottle.
The 2021 vintage stands as a remarkable achievement for the Ahr. In challenging conditions, careful vineyard work and selective harvesting produced wines of precision and freshness. From the Pfarrwingert vineyard, the result is a Pinot Noir with both structure and longevity.
