This comes from a 2.2-hectare vineyard up in the hills around Arcenant. The altitude and limestone-rich soils always give plenty of freshness to the wine. There is lots of interest on the palate:... floral and citrus notes abound. Delicious yellow fruit and satsuma flavours finish with a dry crisp and well-balanced refreshing finish. Delicious, very easy, but lovely and composed.

The 2022 vintage is an outstanding year in Burgundy, combining ripe fruit with freshness and balance. While this is the domaine's entry level Pinot Noir, it benefits from the same meticulous vineyard work and winemaking as their sought after village and Premier Cru wines, resulting in a Bourgogne Rouge that consistently outperforms its classification.

Domaine Lécheneaut Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2022 shows aromas of wild strawberry, raspberry and red cherry, with subtle notes of violet and spice.

Jean-Jacques Girard Bourgogne Rouge 2023 is an outstanding introduction to one of Savigny-lès-Beaune's longest established family domaines. The Girard family has been growing vines since 1529, with... the estate today producing wines from some of the finest terroirs across the Côte de Beaune, including Savigny-lès-Beaune, Pernand-Vergelesses, Beaune, Volnay and Pommard.
Although labelled simply as Bourgogne Rouge, the fruit is sourced principally from the domaine's vineyards around Savigny-lès-Beaune, giving the wine a level of quality and character rarely found at this level. The 2023 vintage offers generous fruit, freshness and excellent balance, making this a superb everyday red Burgundy from a highly respected grower.
