Chateau Mauvisin Barton is the newest addition to the Barton family triumvirate of Chateau Leoville Barton & Chateau Langoa Barton and at only £12 a bottle £144 a case in bond is one of the... bargains of the vintage with a massive score of 93-94 points from James Suckling for a wine at this price.
"This is firm and chewy with a medium to full body, yet it shows succulent fruit underneath. Outstanding depth as well as a crunchy sense to this, with blackberry and graphite. Profound limestone character is giving this real depth and solidity.” James Suckling
It is a lovely wine that we all adored when we tasted it in Bordeaux in April that will and have bought for ourselves – what better recommendation!
It is available in half bottles, bottles & magnums – and larger formats (upon request. It will arrive in the UK in the first half of 2026 and will be drinkable almost immediately and for 10 years thereafter.

From a brilliant claret vintage, Château Poujeaux 2016 unfolds a complex and expressive bouquet. Ripe black fruits such as cherries, blueberries, and blackcurrants take center stage, interwoven with... enticing hints of jamminess. As the wine breathes, a captivating floral dimension emerges, revealing delicate notes of lily and violet.
The palate is greeted by a full-bodied and beautifully balanced expression. The initial burst of black fruit flavors intensifies, complemented by a touch of Morello cherry. Hints of earth and spice add further complexity, while the smooth, silky tannins provide a delightful textural element. The finish is long and lingering, leaving a lasting impression.

The 2015 Poujeax is medium to deep garnet-purple in color with some spices on the nose over a core of red cherries and black plums plus a hint of charcoal.... It's medium-bodied and uncomplicated in the mouth with a decent fruit core and chewy tannins.

Shows excellent depth of fruit with chewy and polished tannins. Full and very long. Gorgeous length.
Steven Spurrier Decanter 90 Points
Big, plummy but lifted Cabernet-Merlot flavours. Shows the usual richness of Poujeaux with more finesse and grip this year.
